Palm Oil Responsibly Sourced: Elaeis Guineensis

Pure cosmetic grade palm oil is a saturated fat that is produced from the fruit of the palm nut. It is a versatile and skin loving ingredient with a whole host of uses.

Can be used in:

• Cold process soaps – enhances lather, hardness and stability. Produces a mild and conditioning bar. Can use up to 30%
• Body Butters – boosts texture and skin glide. Can use from 5% – 20% in recipes balanced with lighter oils. Can add a small amount of  Tapioca Starch  to help eliminate an overly greasy feel.
• Creams & Lotions – adds rich emolient feel. Typical useage rate of between 2% –  10%. Less for the face and more for barrier type creams. Again a starch can be used to cut down any greasy feel.
• Lip Balms – seals in moisture and adds smoothness. Typical useage rate between 5% –  15%
• Massage Bars – melts on contact with the skin, adds smooth feel and offers skin conditioning. Typically used at between 10% – 20%

Appearance – Solid at room temperature, this oil is a creamy off white and melts at around 30°c
