Frankincense Essential Oil: Boswellia Serrata Oil

Frankincense oil is distilled from the resin obtained from the frankincense tree. This resin has a long history of use in ancient cultures for perfuming and medicinal purposes as well as being associated with religious rites.

This beautiful oil is deeply relaxing and regenerative. Frankincense is known for its gently warming and calming properties along with it’s warm, oriental and spicy scent.  When entering meditative states it has also been claimed to slow breathing allowing for a more open mind so as to help experience mood enhancing effects.

Frankincense essential oil has many amazing skin conditioning properties. Not least, it is claimed to have a regenerating effect on mature skin. This oil is an astringent and can be safely used on all skin types.  It supports the skins repair process and helps to keep it looking youthful. If using on the skin, as with all essential oils, care should be taken and advice sought from a qualified professional.
