Magnesium Chloride Flakes

Magnesium Chloride Flakes are an incredibly useful product that have been used for centuries for health benefits.

Magnesium Chloride Flakes can be added to baths to create a really relaxing experience. Add 2 or 3 cups of this to a warm bath, allow to dissolve and relax. This salt has been shown to be ideal for sensitive skin where it may assist with skin health, improving skin barrier function and hydration as well as detoxifying. Soaking in a bath with magnesium chloride has also been shown to relax aching muscles and joints.

Magnesium Chloride is a salt found in salt lakes all over the world and is usually extracted from the Dead Sea or ancient underground sea beds. Magnesium chloride is the main ingredient in Dead Sea Salt where it makes up more than 33% of it’s weight. It is a white salt with a really bitter taste. This salt does attract moisture from the air so should be stored sealed.

The link between Magnesium Chloride and Epsom Salts ( Epsom Salt ) is often made but in fact Magnesium Chloride is just that whereas Epsom Salts contain Magnesium Sulphate. Although magnesium is found in both products, magnesium chloride can more easily be absorbed by the body.
