Zinc ricinoleate is a non-comedogenic odour absorbing active often used in deodorants and personal care products.

This is a very gentle, non-irritating addition and is very effective even at low levels. It does not disrupt the skin microbiome and is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.

This product neutralises odour, it does not kill bacteria but instead binds and traps odour causing molecules.

How it works:

• Odour molecules bind to Zinc Ricinoleate.
• Once bound these molecules are no longer able to impart odour.
• The zinc ricinoleate remains on the skin continuing to absorb odour so offers long lasting performance.

It pairs well with:

• Magnesium Hydroxide
• Zinc Oxide
• Trimethyl Citrate

Typical usage: 0.5 – 3%

Higher levels are not needed and do not necessarily improve performance and may even adversely affect the texture of the final product.

Zinc Ricinoleate is oil dispersible so is best incorporated in the heated oil phase.
