Sodium Carbonate (Washing Soda)

Sodium Carbonate is also known as Washing Soda or soda ash. 

This is an Eco-Friendly, versatile and highly efficient cleaning agent and something that should always be kept in your household cleaning arsenal. It is enzyme and phosphate free, and what’s more, it is safe to use on many surfaces and it is also be biodegradable. 

Often added to homemade laundry powders and liquids, it is amazing at removing grease and oil stains and generally lifting dirt from fabrics. Add 1 or 2 tbs to the washing powder drawer in your washing machine then set the machine as normal. This will help with any stain removal. This powder can also be used as a pre-wash solution for tougher stains.

We have created a Universal laundry base to make a ‘kind to the environment but not to dirt and stains’ extremely effective laundry detergent. Simply add this to the Universal base and mix then use in your machine as normal.

Sodium Carbonate (washing soda) is also a useful water softener which helps other cleaning agents get to work. It can also be a useful aid when unblocking sinks, just use approximately 1 cup of washing soda, tip this into the drain and wash it down with boiling water.

It is also great for cleaning bathroom and kitchen sinks, surfaces, taps etc. 

This product should not be used on varnished or aluminium surfaces as it may discolour or damage the surface.

Always wear gloves when handling as this product can cause skin irritation.
