This clear to pale yellow oil is a wonderful mix of sweet fruity florals with a hint of wood and spice and is also known as Rose de Bois. The rosewood tree has a long history of popularity in creating beautiful furniture which led to over harvesting but UN protection, Brazilian regulations and a number of projects to support local communities with planting have all helped to create sustainable sources.

Rosewood essential oil is known as an oil of harmony, often employed to support calmness in spiritual or meditative statues. It is believed to have anti depressive, aphrodisiac and balancing properties.

Rosewood is particularly useful in skin care with emphasis on stimulating and rejuvenating mature or damaged skin. Older skin can benefit from this oil and it appears in many skin care products aimed at this market. Rosewood oil also strengthens skin and helps rejuvenate tissue making it a sought after addition to most skin care regimes.

This oil is a top note that blends beautifully with other citrus oils, Lemon, Sweet Orange. At the end of the day it also blends beautifully with the trusty Lavender.
