Bicarbonate of Soda:  Sodium Bicarbonate

Bicarbonate of soda, also known as Baking Soda, is an essential ingredient in the making of bath bombs.  It is used along with citric acid. Bicarbonate of soda also has water softening properties so is very useful in many bath preparations. Bicarbonate of Soda can also be used in luxurious bath teas, milks, salts etc as a lovely addition on its own or combined with a little citric acid to add a little fizz to the product which can aide dispersal of other ingredients.
