Beeswax Yellow BP Grade INCI: Cera Alba

Natural yellow beeswax is a fatty substance secreted by bees in the cell walls of the honeycomb. This wax is a natural skin loving moisturiser and is often used as an emulsifier in formulations.

This wax can be used in soaps, lip balms, gels, deodorants, beard and moustache wax and many other cosmetic products. There is nothing that gives quite the same glide on the skin as beeswax in a product, or keeps that product in place to the same degree.

Beeswax Yellow BP Grade is also incredible for the skin as it has a comedogenic rating of between 1 and 2 therefore is seen as not likely to clog pores.

Yellow beeswax adds a wonderful natural smell to products. It also brings a depth of natural colour and can help to seal and protect the skin. However if you prefer to have the same qualities but without the colour and less odour then maybe our white beeswax would be a better option for you White Beeswax

Beeswax is also a traditional wax for use in candle making. It is claimed these candles burn brighter and for longer with less smoke. It is true that this wax does create a lovely deep addition to fragrances used in these candles.
